Okay! Now this video really had me blown away. A super fast beer dispenser that fills plastic cups from the bottom up! (And no spills!) I saw this video in Facebook after a fellow blogger shared it (thank you!). I am really puzzled at how this dispenser manages to bore a hole in the bottom of the cup and fill it without leaving a hole. And then I thought, whoa! Maybe its rocket science!
I found out that the dispenser is officially marketed as the Bottoms Up Draft Beer Dispensing System® by GrinOn Industries which is based in Montesano, Washington, USA. Their website does contain a lot of showoffs regarding this technology they have, but they weren't really providing specific details on how the technology works. And then I thought, whoa! Maybe its a trade secret! But not for long.

According to Wired, the secret lies in plastic cups. The bottom of the specially-designed cups has a hole but is plugged by a creatively-crafted magnet. Once the cup sits on top of the dispenser, the nozzle slips in and fills the cup but it doesn't leak since magnets in the nozzle and the cup prevent any liquid from going out of the cup. Once the nozzle is out, the magnet at the bottom of the cup restores suction. And it can do all that in just a fraction of a second!

I really hope this cool gadget reaches bars here in the Philippines. I mean, come on, we don't want our beer being spilled all over the place by some random novice bartender. With this gadget around in bars, people are really gonna drink beer in a whole new way.
I'm gonna look for more cool and edgy stuff that's coming out of bars these days so stay tuned.
